In addition to that bold phrase, he let out another important message too. Everybody wants to become a millionaire until its time to do what millionaires do. This is seen in the things we choose to do and not to do.
For example, nobody wants to take risks with stocks investment. Another example; few people accept to go back to school to learn more and use that as a tool to increase our own financial value.
There are 3 main things you can do, to change your financial status in 6 months. This period of time is arbitrary. As it can be more or less than 6 months, depending on how you choose to tackle the situation. Also, these 3 things can be done in your day to day life.
I reduce these 3 main things to three letters. Namely, B. I. G. But how can B. I. G. help you?
B. I. G. As Your Key To Financial Success.
Financial success is a subjective concept.
More than a third (39 percent) of American investors say they define “financial success” as being debt-free, according to a recent survey released by TD Ameritrade. And 29 percent define “financial success” as being able to save money for long-term goals such as education and retireme – thinkadvisor
But what about the other 32 percent of the American population? What about if you are not an American? How would you describe financial success? The numbers from thinkadvisor show us that there are more that one answer. Hence, we can deduce that financial success is subjective.
Here are some of the most frequent answers I have come across on the internet:
- Paying for college education.
- Retiring early.
- Affording a vacation home.
- Getting a good night’s sleep.
- Earning at least X amount of dollars per month.
- Being able to take care of my family and me completely.
All these are supplementary answers to that provided by thinkadvisor. As a result, it is easier to say that each one of us has his/her own definition of financial success.
No matter what your definition of financial success is, there exist a barometer for it. This barometer is a function of your financial situation. As a result, it is a sure measure of how well you are doing financially.
This barometer is your bank account. There is no need to conduct a survey for this. The majority of the population is not satisfied with their earnings. As a result, the amount of debt contraction is ever increasing.

Books have always been the main aid to learn new skills. Starting back in nursery school. In nursery school, you had books to color. In elementary school, you used to have books in order to learn new words. In addition to that, you had the dictionary. Which is a book of its own.
In secondary school, you had books to know new concepts. New concepts such as the law of gravity. Displacement reactions. Calculus, prose, drama, poetry, cumulonimbus clouds, the list is endless. Even when it came to sports, you had books. In basketball for example. There are many books that have been sold. These books teach the fundamentals of basketball.
In college, you still had books. Here is where you started learning about life changing skills. Like fundamental analysis, computer programming and requirements engineering.

The main reason people do not read books is lack of time. At least that is what they say. Reading a book does not take more than 10 to 20 minutes a day. This is for the busiest people. Less busy people can afford to spend more that 20 minutes a day for a book.
You can spend 20 minutes a day checking NBA trade rumors. Or you can spend 25 minutes a day reading daily gossips on social media. Given that you do both of these researches on your phone mostly. Why not spend 10 minutes a day into something that can turn that phone of yours into an iPhone 7?

There is a west African saying that goes like this:

This basically means, birds of the same feathers fly together. In other words, you are where you are today thanks to your surroundings. Whether you like it or not. You are the sum total of the 5 people that surround you the most.
Changing your bank account also means changing your environment a bit. What are the main benefits of your friendships? What do you bring to the table?
In order to change you reality, you have to change your mentality. As a result, I suggest you use the law of 33%:
From the people who are where you want to be in the future. You learn what you have to do. You learn what you have to stop doing. In addition to that, you learn the necessary attitude to getting to your final target. Where do you find the people above who can mentor you? You can contact entrepreneurs and authors through social media and email. If you do some research, you will find that most of them are open for communication.
The second 33% of your time, you spend it with people where are where you are. These are your friends. These are the people you spend fun time with. This is when you relax.
The last 33% percent of your time, you spend it with people yearning to be where you are. These are mostly your junior ones. Spending time with them helps you. You can tell them about your mistakes. And how you countered. In addition to that, you can do with them what you want your mentors to do with you. This sharpens the sense of leadership.

It is necessary that you set goals. Unless you will not know whether you are successful or not. To illustrate this, an example would be adequate. If your financial goal is 4000$ per month. Whenever you succeed in reaching the 4000$ mark, you know you did it right. On the contrary, if you just want additional money, even 10$ fits that goal. But if is not what you need.
A good goal is one that takes care of at least one of the most basic and frustrating needs.
The problem with goals is, people try to do too much too soon. The steadier the progress, the more permanent is tends to be.
Finally, writing your goals down will help you more. There is a popular saying which goes as follows:

Now you know what B. I. G. means. You know this deadly combination that can be the key to stirring your life in the direction you desire. But, how exactly do you apply this?
The problem with great tools like this is common. That is, people often come across tips and guidelines that will help. But they do not do what is recommended.
To apply B. I. G. to make money, you need to go step by step.
- Choose a book that will help you make money. And start with it. At the end of this article, I will give you the book you need to start growing financially.
- Divide your free time into 3 parts and use it as stated above.
- Set goals for yourself. Goals you can measure. In addition to that, write down your goals.

Even if you have a list of 1 million subscribers, post great content. If your content is useless, you may see them unsubscribe in thousands per day.
Posting great content is the greatest strategy. This is even more important than SEO and Social media marketing. In addition to that, you need to post on a consistent basis. You cannot imagine the number of posts published per second on the internet. If you want to compete with that you cannot just publish a single post and leave it there alone for a year. The only thing that entices a reader more than great content is even more great content.
Conclusion, you need to post great content. Content that is useful in anyway. You need to do this on a consistent basis.

You need to use a dedicated email subscription system. This is a service that will help you capture email addresses and store them. Another advantage of the using an email subscription system is that it does mass email sending. In addition to that, it follows up with your new subscribers. This means, your new subscribers receive ready made emails you designed beforehand.
I said before that you cannot force a reader to give you his email address. What you can do here is get your tools straight. All you have to do is set up the system in a right way, and let the readers feel on your website like they are at home.
Services that offer a good email subscription system, are Aweber and MailChimp. There are many more out there. Some would argue that these are not the best. But, these are the ones I have been using. Particularly Aweber. It is easy to use. My email list is well managed, and their ability to deliver in inboxes is top notch.

Another important thing you can do is, make your sign up form visible to your potential subscribers. This lets them know that you offer services beyond just posting articles on your website. Also, you do not need to wait to get a sign up form on your website. You need to start building your email list from day 1.
I suggest you put your sign up form on the top right corner of your articles. That way, it will always be seen. We are accustomed to reading from left to right. So, as they read to the right, they see the sign up form.
Give Them A Reason To Subscribe:
To entice your readers into subscribing, you need to offer them an incentive. A reason to subscribe. It is ok to offer them updates, but that does not really have the best conversion rates. If you have good content, your subscribers will decide to check on your website themselves. On the other hand, if you address a specific problem, you may get more of them to subscribe.
The subscribers come to your website in search for solutions to a particular problem. If you offer that solution, then you are more likely to captivate them too.
In the end, it is very easy to put up an email list. You just need to focus on what you can control. Forget about trying as hard as you can to get them to subscribe. Just follow up with the tips above and let them do the rest.
One last thing, you need to understand that you cannot get all of your readers to subscribe. Some people may have the problem you offer a solution to but still, they are not ready to take action to solve it. On the other hand, some people really want to know what to do to better their situation. Those are the people you want to focus on. But, is a social media post really as effective as an email?
Before we answer that question, lets state a well known fact. It is easier to send a friend request on Facebook than to collect an email online. But believe me, email marketing is thrice as worth it as social media marketing. So, what is email marketing?
Email marketing is the targeting of customers through emails. Every emails sent to a potential customers can be considered as email marketing. Email marketing involves sending a promotional email or an ad to a subscriber. Via his email address.
A great deal of organizations today use email marketing. Even more bloggers do use email marketing today than ever before. For example, have you ever been browsing on a website, and you see some field where you are asked to submit your name and email to get a free PLR ebook or update? That is the front part of email marketing.
Most bloggers use email marketing because it enhances the customer experience. With a well targeted email list, you can reach established customers and prospective ones too. Any given subscriber will be informed better and more easily via email. The email will have a greater visibility than a Facebook post. The sites which produced those stats will be mentioned at the end of this article. So, lets get into the advantages of using email marketing.:
Did you know that in 2013, there were about 3.2 billion email accounts created in the world? 95% of online consumers use an email address. The most interesting fact is; 91% of those consumers check their email accounts at least once a day. Today, we browse more with our phones than our computers. As a result, we are more easily notified when we receive emails. Our phones place the notifications right in front of our eyes.
Today, it is easier to check to an email than a Facebook or Twitter post. This is because when we post content, so does a million other people. As a result, finding one particular post you liked 3 weeks ago can be the most daunting task.
Before I explain this part in more detail, lets get some interesting numbers. In the first half of 2013, a research conducted using emails as a marketing channel revealed some staggering facts. The one that stands out the most is this; 18% of the emails sent during a campaign never reach their destinations. 4% of the sent emails are sent into the spam folder. That makes 22% of the sent emails that do not actually reach the intended receiver.
On the other hand, 78% of the emails sent during an email campaign actually reach their destination. Think of it this way, If you send 1000 emails, 780 emails will reach their destination. In addition to that, 91% of the receivers check their emails daily. This means, about 709 receivers will actually see your email. This is great efficiency, as less than 30% of the emails sent are lost.
Now, lets compare these numbers with those of a Facebook campaign carried out in the same way. This revealed that 74% of the Facebook posts are actually lost within the big stream of content. That is a problem. That means, per thousand Facebook posts, 740 are lost in the stream of content. That leaves us with 260 posts seen by our target readers. Another bad thing is, everyone who sees your content will not actually click through. Less than half will actually do. That leaves us with less than 130 people who are actually interested in our our offers.
Click Through Rates:
In the previous point, we talked about what percentage of people who see and may like your posts and mails. Now lets talk about people who actually complete the actions and do what you want them to do. Lets say clicking on a link. This link may take them to a landing page or a website.
Click through rate is the percentage of people that receive your message and actually click on it. The click through rate of a tweet is 0.5 percent as opposed to 3% for an email. These numbers look small at first. But, this means that people click 6 times more on an email link than on a tweeted link.
Lets keep on using our example of 1000 emails and 1000 social media posts. A 0.5% click through rate means per thousand, 5 people will actually click on your link. This is for social media. Sometimes the click through rates are higher, but those are particular cases. The numbers we use here are average ones.
A 3% click through rate with emails means 30 clicks per thousand. That is the best click through rate you will obtain on average. The numbers are not astounding, but efficient numbers are not always astounding. The difference is such because, when people give you their email addresses they actually want to hear more form you.
Your Readers Want It This Way:
Most people use social media to communicate with friends first. Seldom are they used to receive business news and reviews. There are specialized websites for that. 77% of the users during a survey online said they prefer to receive promotional messages in their emails. 4% said they prefer these messages on social media. This speaks to the fact that by submitting an email, people are literally giving you a business meeting location.
Emails Are Private:
It is easier for a reader to express his problems in private than in the open. Everybody is not comfortable when it comes to expressing their shortcomings in the open. When a user wishes to express his struggles and he can’t meet with you, what does he do? He writes you an email. This way, he can tell you everything. You can answer specifically to him.
